Meet Jaques.  He's a great big cat with a whole lot of worries.  You see, Jaques was recently hospitalized for a urinary obstruction.  While he was there, the veterinarian recommended removing Jaques' right eye due to a detached lens and advanced glaucoma.  The veterinarian also stated that Jaques may need surgery on his remaining eye to prevent the same thing from happening again.  As you might imagine, this stuff costs alot of money.  Jaques' hospital stay from April 9-12th, including the removal of his infected eye, relieving his urinary blockage, medications, and the special food that Jaques will need to eat permanently, cost (approximately) $2350.  Here's my conundrum:  I'm Jaques' mom, and like Jaques I have some serious health issues.  Due to my health problems, I subsist on social security disability pay, which ain't much.  My goal with this site is to gather enough donations to pay off Jaques' current veterinary bill and take care of any future surgery or procedures.

Jaques, like all of us, is a work in progress.  With the help of some nice people out there, he can continue to progress in a good direction.  Why donate money to this particular cat?  Well, I won't tell you that Jaques has any mystical powers or that there's something great about him that makes his life more important than any other adored companion.  I'm just hoping that you will because, well, he's my cat, he's my adored companion, and I want to be the best cat mom that I can possibly be.
