Jaques is a great big guy-16.9 lbs at his last vet visit!  He is a bit overweight, but part of it is that he's just really BIG.  Of course, what Jaques really is, is a big baby.  He loves to cuddle and/or lay on top of chests and/or windpipes while he kneads at your face.  Note that while this is enjoyable to Jaques, it isn't always all that enjoyable for the recipient of his love.  Poor Jaques!  He tries.

Jaques can be a little shy when you first meet him.  Since his eye site is not so good, he tends to get scared by loud noises.  But once you are comfortable on the couch, Jaques will cuddle with you whether you like it or not.  We like to call him "the Marlon Brando of Cats" because he loves to eat and he has quite a swagger to his strut.  Jaques walks into a room, fixes his eyes on you and swaggers on over.  He's quite a guy, very mellow, not too needy but not too aloof. 

One thing you should know about Jaques is that he's not an old cat.  He's not quite 3 years old.  This is why it is so very important to give him a good life!  He's got so much more to give and it wouldn't be fair for him to not have every opportunity to live a long healthy life.
